How it works

You can raise an alarm at any time by pressing the help button on your base unit or pendant alarm. When you do, the devices send a message to the SECOM Care app, alerting your emergency contacts that you need help. Your loved ones can then use the app to let us know if they are responding to your alarm or need us to step in.

If your emergency contacts do not answer or are unavailable, a member of our monitoring team will respond immediately. They will know who you are, where you are calling from and any medical details you have shared with us. They will assess the situation and coordinate with the emergency services to make sure you receive the help you need.

Our expert monitoring team is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and can deal with anything from slips, trip and falls to medical emergencies, intruders and fires.

Care Hub Features

The base unit is mains powered and doesn’t require a landline or internet connection. It guides users through the installation process with spoken instructions, and features a built-in microphone and speaker so you can talk directly to a member of our monitoring team.

The Pearl pendant is waterproof and comes in a range of wearing options, including a brooch, watch strap and necklace. It is designed to be worn 24 hours a day, allowing the wearer to move about the house safe in the knowledge that help is always close by.

When the panic button is activated, the outer rim of the Pearl flashes red to let the user know that an SOS signal has been sent. The base unit then notifies your network of emergency contacts via the SECOM Care app that your alarm has been activated. If none of your emergency contacts are available, your call will be sent straight through to our monitoring centre, where a trained operator will assess your situation and contact the emergency services should you need them.

Care Hub is a rental service, which means you only have to pay for renting your equipment. This keeps the initial cost of signing up down and means you don’t have to worry about replacing your device – if anything breaks or wears over time, we’ll replace it free of charge!
