Pendant alarm systems are worn around the wrist or neck and offer those at risk of falls or medical emergencies the reassurance they need to remain at home. If you are worried about your own safety – or the safety of an elderly, disabled or chronically ill loved one – a SECOM pendant alarm with 24-hour monitoring can help.

How do pendant alarm systems work?

Pendant alarms are usually split into two categories: dual systems and standalone devices. A dual system comes with a pendant alarm and base unit. The pendant features a small radio transmitter that can send and receive signals from the base unit, and the base unit contains a powerful multi-network SIM that can communicate with an ARC (Alarm Receiving Centre).

When a user presses the panic button on their device, it sends an SOS signal to the alarm unit, which then redirects the alert to our response centre.

The Care Hub alarm unit is a unique telecare system. Its voice-guided installation process is simple to follow and means the user can install the device without the need for a technician.

The base unit connects to our 24/7 monitoring centre without the need for a telephone socket, and in the event of an emergency will simultaneously send alerts to our response team and your emergency contacts.
